Hello,
I’ve returned from my drive to Saint-Wandrille. I had prepared my driving directions on a website and I had printed it on paper for one of my two neighbors to direct me. My co-pilot finally told me that she knew the ride perfectly, OK, I put my confidence in her. However, surprise – she took us on a much longer route but we had a good laugh. We chose our restaurant (we could all agree on that). Then we headed over to the abbey, an exceptional monument in perpetual renovation, a magnificent cloister where silence reigns and incites meditation even before entering the different chapels. A monk benevolently guided us and explained everything to us with enthusiasm and passion. The weather was magnificent. We then took a (je ne suis pas sûre ce que vous voulez dire ici pour « coup » …) across from the Seine, impressionistic and magnificent scenery. Then we took a walk between the Saine and the abbey. After that we got some honey biscuits ( called “Nonnettes”), some wax, in short we heated up the credit card for our pleasure and that of our family. Then we got back in the car and we followed my driving directions, which were much quicker. Phew, I was afraid that Maud would manifest herself and guide me, but in the end she followed my driving directions. It was a superb day like I love, in the fresh air!
I send you a hug, Love Marie.

Hi jessie and marie, i hope you won't mind me posting here (i don't want to be nosey or anything!).
I just would like to answer Jessie's question about "prendre un coup"
which i think in this context means "to have a drink", although it is usually either "boire un coup" or "prendre un verre"... But lots of people (me!) just merge them together by saying "prendre un coup" (which can sound pretty violent!)
have a nice weekend!
