Je viens d'effectuer une tentative de traduction du texte ci-dessous. Une âme charitable serait-elle en mesure de corriger mes erreurs? (ce serait trop beau qu'il n'y en ait pas)


I write a column called WebWatch for Skirmish magazine (A UK magazine for re-enactors) and will mention your web site in a future issue so others (especially those who do read French well) can view it.
J'écris un article intitulé WebWatch (Regard du Web) dans le magazine Skirmish (magazine anglais de recontitutions) et je mentionnerai votre site dans une future édition ainsi les autres (en particxulier ceux qui lisent bien le français) pourront le voir.

column = chronique, selon Grand Dictionnaire Terminologique (Québec)

reconstitutions= no idea how "re-enactors" (the people, not their reenactments) is translated into French. The GDT gives "interprète historique" but that seems to me to apply only to those who work in this capacity in historical houses/monuments, where they show the public how life was lived in that period - not for groups who reenact the Civil War, etc. for fun! Best I can suggest is "membres de groupes de reconstitution historique".

I would start a new sentence with Je mentionnerai...

and then

édition, pour que d'autres...

en particulier

... puissent le consulter.

In fact it seems to be better like this.
The only problem is re-enactors 'cause the translation is too long...
