Il ne peut pas ne pas se rendre compte que depuis qu'il travaille à l'université, il y a de plus en plus d'étudiants et de moins en moins de place.
J'aimerais connaître la personne qui a conçu des phrases pareilles...

· your sentence :
He cannot face facts that since he works at university, there are more and more students and less and less place.
· my sentence :
While the number of students is growing, the capacity at University is getting smaller. He must have noticed that since he started working at University.

· Rendre compte =face facts? - se rendre compte - dans ce contexte: to notice
ou:
· Il ne peut pas ne pas se rendre compte - it is unlikely (that) he hasn't noticed

· Works or worked? - since he started working or: started to work

· Less and less place or fewer and fewer?
Le mot place ne me plaît pas dans ce cas, il est trop général.
place dans quel sens ?
  • espace = room
  • capacité d’admission – enrollment or admission capacity
  • sièges = seats
  • poste = position
Je préfère "capacity"

Voici toutes les phrases en anglais.
Je suis trop fatiguée pour les relire.

Since he came back/got back from the States, he has been doing a diet/he has been dieting, but he hasn’t lost much weight.

As your book says, one should take care of themselves. OR: ..., you should take care of yourself.

Since he started working [to work] at University, he must have noticed that, while the number of students has been growing, the capacity has been getting smaller.

OR: Since he started working [started to work] at University, it is unlikely that he has not noticed that the more students there are, the less room there is.

A meeting was necessary as problems had been growing for several months.

During his long life as a University professor, he published about fifty books, and some of them were translated in about fourteen languages. [about = environ]

Everybody knows that the more time you spend with thinking, the more you’ll get to know about yourself.

That Italian cook, whose spaghetti I like a lot, has just won a prize for her last book. [spaghetti – uncountable noun]

She knows that the less she goes outdoors, the less opportunities to see him there will be. [to see him/to meet him again].

She wished she would have taken less luggage and thought she should have rested longer before leaving.

He would prefer [he’d prefer], you didn't forget his birthday. OR:

He would have preffered you hadn’t forgotten his birthday.
