Hi all

there is an association in france which name is "Pas de 0 de conduite" which means kids having poor behavior may not be "marked" forever as "bad" because of their more or less anxious/agitated childood.

How would you translate "pas de 0 conduite" into english?
I am looking for a saying that fits to the best the meaning, no matter if it is not a litteral translation

For "pas zero de conduite", I'll suggest "not zero in conduct", slightly altering the prepostitions.

For its meaning, I'll say the children were seen as "hopeless and incurable" are in fact can be helped and cured, "not hopeless or incurable at all".

This reminds me of the Montessori method used in younger children's education, designed especially for children with reading and behaviour problems, now a famous model for kindergarten education.

But if you want to translate that french institution into English you need more thoughts on it. Mine is a very crude translation.

hmm how about something like "bonnet d'ane" or "au coin"?
something that triggers for bad pupils or such, any tipical english or american saying?

I'm not sure of the meanings by the expressions "bonnet d'ane" or "au coin". By "bonnet d'ane" do you mean "stubborn ass"? By "au coin" do you mean "on the verge of "," marginal case" ? I can think of a chinese expression though, which means "a stubborn stone nodding its head, which means a person being able to make a stubborn person understand, a hard case. I'm not sure of the meaning or saying you're looking for, I'm afraid this may not help much.

I've found many articles about pas 0 de conduite pour 3 ans. I'll describe the behaviour of a 3 yr old as " uncontrollable ", which I'm so familiar of.

Could it be "attention deficit hyperactive disorder" you're looking for, which is a common term/ diagnosis used to describe overactive young children?

As for "attention deficit hyperactive disorder" this is actually the thing we are talking about. But we are fighting against the full medication of kids who just have "normal" but quite not quiet childhood
and thus we are looking for a motto that sounds good
