I think the donkey ears are so cute, no one would believe it's a punishment here.
Now I see you're looking for mottos. Some suggestions: Save our children, say "NO" to ritalin/drugs. Ritalin kills/ Drugs kill. Teach/ Correct our children, not drug them. Drugs kill, not cure. Personally, I don't believe ADHD exists. I think it's just a stage some people pass through in growing up. There're more people being mislabelled than having the real problem. |

thanks to both of you catachrest and chinoise
![]() I'm still thinking for the best translation to find... never happy I am Actually I think the moto should focus on the fight against mislabelled kids rather than directly against drugs. Drugs may be ok, but not on a large part of the population. |

Love, not labels?
Take Responsibility for Your Children? Listen, don't label? Drugs are the Last Resort - We are the First. Ditch the Dunce Cap Coming out of the Corner |

HI, FD,
I have difficulty in understanding this phrase:" le gouvernement renonce au zéro pointé pour les enfants turbulents " ? How would you put it in English? In English the phrase "behaviour problems" is used instead of zero in conduct. I understand that the association's name "pas de 0 de conduite" is a response to the government's act. |

Hi .. and thanks again and again
to chinoise: "zéro pointé" is a saying that stands for the lowest mark you can have in class ie 0. I don't know how it is in your country but in france teachers use to give marks for kid's behavior. so that would be something like le gouvernement renonce au zéro pointé pour les enfants turbulents " governement gets away from "zéro pointé" for excited kids |

Hi FD,
In fact it's the verb "renonce" that I don't understand, there're so many definitions for it in the online dictionary, and "get away" is just one of it. It's the purpose of the govt imposing such an act that I'm trying to get at. I guess the great opposition in France is based on the impact and possiblity of the new act, such as sentencing a 3 yr old for a serious crime and making him responsible and guilty. How about: Say "NO" to the ZERO CONDUCT ACT. No judgment on a 3 yr old kid. No 3 yr old delinquents. 3 yr old criminals, are you kidding me? Every child is born a blank slate; no one is born a criminal. |
