trad. phrases 14/11
Pourriez-vous corriger ma traduction, SVP?
1) This man is not cut out for an office job. Cet homme n’est pas fait pour le travail de bureau. 2) He tripped and fell over. Il trébucha et tomba. 3) You can’t go yet. It’s still pelting with rain. Vous ne pouvez pas encore partir. Il tombe encore des cordes. 4) Malcom was engrossed in a history book when I arrived. Malcom était plongé dans un livre d’histoire quand je suis arrivé. Merci d'avance. |

Tes traductions anglaises sont correctes, et ces phrases sont tres bien traduites, mais on dit plutot "he tripped and fell down"..."fell over" n'est pas incorrecte, pas de tout, il s'agit seulement de l'usage commun. C'est le meme cas avec "it's still pelting with rain," ...on dirait "the rain's still pelting down" ou tout simplement, "it's still raining hard", ou "it's still pouring rain". Une bonne traduction de la phrase "il tombe encore des cordes" est "it's still raining cats and dogs"...j'ignore moi-meme l'origin de cette expression qui a l'aire insolite, mais on la dit beaucoup aux E.- U.
