I'm going to talk about Princess Diana, who, of course, everyone knows. I choose her because I think [elle a marqué l'esprit des gens]in all the world.I think she was not like the other princesses, she was someone remarkable, always with the people. In fact, I think she's like a legend!She's the symbol of the peace!
She died the 31st of Augustus 1997 so I was a little kid, I was only 9 and It might seem strange but I remember this day wel!It was the last day of the holiday and I came back home with my family, it was a long journey by car so we drove all the day and all the day, the radio broadcasted special emissions about Diana who died in the morning. To me, it had to be [je ne sais pas si c cOmme ça qu'On dit "cela devait certainement être"]certainly someone important.At the primary school too we spoke about her.
Now I'm going to talk about her life.
So, Diana Spencer was born the 1st of July 1961 in England. Her family was close to the British Royal Family.

Diana lost her syle[Ou title, status...??] but the Buckingham Palace maintained that Diana was officially a member of the Royal Family because she was the mother of the second and third in line to the throne.
The princess is well known for her support of charity projects like helping victims of AIDS, and struggling against the use of landmines. [Elle vOyageait beaucOup et militait sans cesse]for the homeless people and children.
She was indeed the first celebrity to be photographed touching a person infected with the HIV virus. She had a big influence on the ban of anti-personnel landmines but unfortunately she she died suddenly and cannot pursue her struggle.
She was only 36 and finally happy with the new man of her life, Dodie Al-Fayed and she died in a car accident in Paris, in the Pont de l'Alma road tunnel with her lover. Her untimely and unjust death caused a big wave of emotion in all the world. That was a very big sadness. Her funeral were [suivie par]lots of people and Elton John performed at her funeral, in her homage "Candle In the Wind", adapted for the occasion wich was the single most sold in the world!

I think she was an important personality, she illustrated modesty, the love of the other,she loved joy, parties, laughter...and she was love for her simplicity, her generosity. She deserved better than Prince Charles who always loves Camilla and who marry Diana just to satisfy his family.She was unhappy with him!She's always in the mind of the people, nobody had forgotten her and I think she should be still alive today!I think that also the people who didn't know her when she was still alive, know her and know that she was important.
She was the most famous woman in the world, for women, she was a fashion icon, a ideal of beauty, really a model!And I read that at her death, and the days around, there was an increasing of suicide of women of 25-44 years who indentified with her.She was really the symbol of the ideal woman in the years 80!
