Hi Joy,

Mais quelle conversation enrichissante au téléphone cet après-midi. J'ai appris beaucoup de choses, notamment les différentes étapes de la scolarité d'un élève en Grande-Bretagne. Tu as beaucoup à m'apprendre sur les coutumes et la langue anglaise, c'est un bonheur de pouvoir te rendre visite. Sans connaître tes parents, je les sens chaleureux, amusants et conviviaux.
Quand je rencontrerai Johnny, il faut absolument que je lui chante une chanson d'Edith Piaf. Il va me trouver un peu zizin, mais ce n'est pas grave.
Au restaurant je parlais à David de ce que tu m'avais appris, 'hawthrone', 'I reck on'. Il me trouvait très enthousiaste et inspirée par ton envie de communiquer.
De retour de la plage, je ne sais pas encore si je vais faire le crumble. Je suis fatiguée.
Je te souhaite un bon 'makeover' avec ta maman. Raconte-moi tout dans les détails. J'aurais aimé être là pour voir la transfomation de Joy en Joy Super Star. Je t'embrasse Love Marie-P

What an enriching conversation this afternoon. I learned a lot of things, notably the different steps of a pupil in GB. You have a lot to teach me about english traditions and language, it is a real pleasure to be able to visit you. Even though I don't know your parents, I feel they are warm hearted, funny and friendly. When I meet Johnny I have to sing a song of Edith Piaf to him. He is going to think I am a bit crazy, but that doesn't matter. At the restaurant, I talked to David about what I learned: 'hawthrone', 'I reck on'. He thought I was so enthousiastic and insipred thanks to your willing of communication.
Back from the beach, I don't know yet if I am going to cook a crumble. I am tired.
I wish you a good "makeover" with your mum. Tell me every details of it. I wish I could be there to see Joy's transformation into Joy Super Star.
