Hello,

I`m a german guy and I want to attend an american internship.
So I wrote a mail with my CV to an american company, because i got no answer i asked the person of the other company if he received my mail.

I Wrote on the 15th of March:
On the 1st of March I sent you an inquiry about the possibility to attend an internship in your company.
As I have not received an answer from you yet, I would like to know if you obtained my Email at all.

And now the answer of the other person
Dear Roland - I don't recall seeing your email of March 1.
Thank you.


What does this mean??Have he not seen my first mail? Have he know found my mail with the CV, does he still have it or does not?

No, it means he does not remember seeing it at all. Maybe you should send it again

now it is clear, but at first I don't understand the word recall in this context.

Don't think of it as "re" + "call," which would mean to call again, but rather as "remember."
