J'ai un problème dans une traduction :

A silent sigh escaped her lips and she sat completely up in her bed. Reaching to the bedside table, she turned the little lamp on and saw the shadows fade as the light bathed the room. It was soft, welcoming, and her breathing had begun to calm since they had gone. She searched the room frantically, looking for some sign, some proof of their stay with her. There was nothing to be found. Everything was in its place. All lay undisturbed. Shivering for a brief second, she turned the light off, slinked down inside her sheets and quilt, and turned her back to the room and her face to the wall. Taking a deep breath, she let her body warm the sheets around her, and she settled in for a short night of sleep.

Ce terme peut vouloir dire "entrer" ou "sortir" furtivement... Le problème est que le personnage est sur son lit depuis le début de l'histoire... Donc je ne sais pas si elle se "met" dans son lit ou si elle en sort, vu qu'il y a marqué "inside" après... Est-ce que cela veut dire qu'elle etait était SUR son lit et qu'àpres elle rentre dedans, qu'elle se met dans les draps??? Ou qu'elle était dans les draps déjà et qu'elle sort de son lit...

effectivement, "to slink out" veut dire sortir furtivement
ici avec down et inside, j'aurais traduit tout simplement par "elle se glissa" sous ses draps,

Eventuellement, tu peux rajouter un adverbe pour rendre le coté furtif --> Elle se glissa doucement sous , ou quelquechose comme ça
