the detection of something doesn't last much, in electronics normally seconds (if not less) thats why for the first part after the detection, putting both during - after is wrong , you should use during if the detections last more than few seconds.
The second part as I wrote it its ok .An oscillator doesn't have clocks but oscillations,and if you want to put in a time-sense then you count the oscillations not the minutes(reffering to the clock)
