Hi, I am new to this forum and I could really use some help translating English into French. I am afraid I do word for word translation and it ends up not making any sense. Here's what I want to say:

I would like to enquire about a patient's report that was sent to you one week ago. The patient's name is xxxxxxx, xxx years old and from the United States. She was diagnosed with leukaemia one year ago and was in remission for 6 months but the cancer is back now. Has the doctor read her report? Does he think he can help her? Will he take her as a patient? If not can she schedule a complete check up with him/her as it has been sometime since the previous tests.

Si ce n'est pas le cas, pourra-t-elle planifier (prendre rendez-vous pour) un check-up complet avec lui / elle puisque les résultats ont déjà un certain temps ?

Voila ben sans doute "améliorable" mais en voici une idée

i had been translating at the same time with tienus so i had to delete my work

however i suggest a couple of tiny ameliorations :
xxxx years old ----> elle a xxx ans
was in remission for six months but the cancer is back now ---> était en rémission depuis six mois mais le cancer est revenu

Wow! Quick responses, you guys are amazing!! Thank you Tienus and Nallatu, I greatly appreciate it. I needed to fax it to a hospital in France tomorrow morning so the time in responding was a lifesaver.

I agree with The_FD, you didn't have to erase your reply nallatu, the more the merrier I say!
