"This pollution has stemmed not only because of urbanization, but equally because of man’s wrongdoings" ---> I repeat: I don't know what they say in your homeland, but we would never, ever say this in America! In this sense, the verb "stem" is invariably used with the preposition "from." Look it up. "As such, if the water is polluted, crops will equally be contaminated, meaning that the population will in turn, be contaminated" ---> This sentence is a step up from the previous two. However, the first problem here is that "As such" means "intrinsically considered," not "consequently." Beyond that, there is an egregious error in comma placement. Either puts commas around the expression "in turn" or leave them out altogether. Unlike you, at least I customarily provide a semi-rational basis for many of my corrections. And where language is concerned, this isn't always easy to do. I "equally" (we don't say this) maintain that I am a better English-language translator than you are. So let the games begin. Finally, not only am I a proofreader; I'm a writer as well. Until we meet again,

A few more suggestions...
In countries facing A scarcity of water, inhabitants must walk a long way to fetch water. BEYOND that, they pay A HIGH PRICE for water and are UNSURE OF its quality. It is ALSO a source of conflicts, as IN the case OF the Nile, which flows across ten countries. DAMS BUILT UPSTREAM lead to less EXTENSIVE FLOODING and a meager water flow. Their drawbacks: costly and consume tremendous amountS of energy. OR A tremendous amount of energy Certain countries build wells which draw groundwater, thereby providing them with water. HOWEVER, IN THE LONG RUN, this bears consequences such as the exhaustion of groundwater and the disappearance of vegetation. Water is useful not only to man, but ALSO to plants and animals. Quelle belle traduction tout de même ! Je n'ai pas pu le faire moi-même .

Sorry, but I don't have any bestsellers to report at this time. And if my writing skills continue to improve, I'm not sure I ever will. If you're interested, I don't dig romance novels. Keep up the good work ,
