Pourriez vous m’aider a me corriger. J’ai une traduction a faire en anglais . Voici le texte original :

ENORME CONTRAT POUR GEC_ALSTHOM.

C’est le groupe GEC-ALSTHOM et son partenaire Fiat qui ont été retenus par Virgin Rail pour assurer les futures liaisons entre Londres et Glasgow. La commande d’une quarantaine de trains haute vitesse représente un marché de 10 milliards de francs. Il s’agit là du plus gros contrat jamais passé dans l’histoire du transport par rail.
Une fois la commande passée, la West Coast Line, qui relie Londres à Glasgow, deviendra la plus rapide du réseau ferroviaire britannique. La technologie mise en œuvre permettra en effet d’atteindre des vitesses proches de 200 km /h à l’horizon 2000 sans entreprendre d’onéreux travaux de rénovation. En octobre dernier déjà, Virgin Rail et Railtrack avaient déclaré devoir investir plus de 21 milliards de francs pour amener la ligne Glasgow-Londres à sa vitesse optimale.
Ce contrat pourrait-il être le premier d’une série ? Espérons-le, car depuis que la compagnie British Rail avait été privatisée, les commandes de matériels roulant se faisaient rares.

The technology which is implement will permit to reach speeds which are closed of 200 KM an hour for 2000 without seting about expensive renovation work. Already, in last October, Virgin Raiool and Railtrack have declared to owe to invest more of 21milliards of francs to bring the Glasgow- London to his optimal speed.
Could this contract be the first of the serie ? You must have faith, because .....................that the British Rail company has been privatize. Tje rolling stock command were rare.
