Developping agricole tourism

“I do not want that crowd invades my exploitation.”
Pierre Guillaume announces that it is probably the objection he most frequently hears. “I saw many farmers making the deaf person ear when we approached agricole tourism because the idea to see a crowd of people on their exploitation badly returned them with bad feelings. And I include/understand them. The farmers appreciate loneliness and it is one of the reasons for which they like agriculture. He specifies however it is not necessary to accomodate/welcome a many crowd during hours to generate interesting incomes. “The exploitations which end up attracting crowd are inevitably directed by people who like this kind of activity; but there is many other one which has small customers and are perfectly happy.
“L'agrotourism necessarily does not mean to receive 50000 visitors. That can arrive, but C it is rare!”
“I do not have the funds to start an agrotourisme company.”
“It is not necessary to invest large sums for infrastructures, explains Mr Guillaume. It is necessary for you on the other hand to think of safety visitors, indication, and cleanliness. It is in fact the basic requirements of any establishment of tourism.”
“But it does not matter what you do, do it well. Exploit on a scale which you will be able to manage. If you want to start a tourist lodging, it is to better arrange an existing building. You will have to perhaps renovate the bathrooms to offer the quality which people are waiting for the price you ask.”

Salut xjuli3nx.

You have made a good attempt at translating this text. I would translate it as follows:

Agrotourism development

"I do not want crowds of people invading my farm."

This, points out Pierre Guillaume, is probably the objection which he hears most often. "I have seen many farmers turn a deaf ear when we broach the topic of agrotourism because the idea of seeing a crowd of people on their farm puts them ill at ease. And I can understand why. Farmers appreciate solitude and this is one of the reasons why they like farming."

He explains, however, that it is not necessary to accomodate large crowds for long periods in order to generate an attractive income. "Farms which end up attracting crowds are inevitably managed by people who like this type of activity but there are many others who have small customer bases with which they are perfectly happy."

"Participating in agrotourism does not necessarily mean that you will receive 50,000 visitors, it may happen, but it is rare!"

"I do not have the necessary funds to set up an agrotourism business."

"It is not necessary to spend large sums of money on the infrastructure, explains Mr Guillaume. Rather you must consider the safety of your visitors, signposting and cleanliness. These in fact are the basic requirements of any tourism establishment."

"The important thing to remember is that whatever you are doing, do it well. Work at a manageable level. If you wish to set up self-catering accomodation for tourists it would be wise to fit out an already existing building. It may be a good idea to renovate the bathrooms so that you can offer the expected standard for the prices you will be charging."
