Smile Can anyone help me with the translation of these Polish sentences, please?

I am teaching myself Polish. Sometimes I find a sentence that I cannot figure out : ( Here is one of them:

Ktora to Twoja corka? I don't know if that means "which one (of several girls) is your daughter" or if it means "Which one of your daughters is this one" or if it means something else. I'll post my second question later. Thank you!

And the other question? You can post it in polish forum if you want.

Hello KiaKia (and everyone else)! :-)

Quite a tricky one. In 99% of cases means "Which one (of some girls mentioned) is your daughter?", but in some circumstances _could_ also mean "Which one of your daughters is this one (mostly taking the age as criterium)?", as kajtek mentioned.

Take care!

Hi TheYvid,

Could you give a polish sentence that represent this 1%, please?

Maybe: Która to z Twoich córek ma 10 lat?

Here "Twoich" in not the same case than "Twoja". So it is easy to recognize. (I hope)

I've got a fever today (which may excuse me, if I am wrong), but I will try to do my best.

So let's get some use of imagination;

Someone's got a lot of daughters and shows a picture, with them on it, to a friend, saying "To moja pierwsza córka, to moja druga córka, to moja trzecia córka (and so on)...". Instantly the friend looks at one particular girl which he/she finds especially interesting and says: "Ta, ktora to Twoja córka?".

Not very probable, but possible :-)

Greetz,
TheYvid

In this case, the friend is not polish. This sentence is not natural. Like my english : everybody understands but it is not the way we can say.

Probably you are right, besides, it seems that both my Polish and English are not natural...

Take care!
