Default French to English, jsut verify my text, thx

Bonjour,

In the room, Ingrid was still sleeping ! Rigaud sat down at .... of the bed and gazed at this mooth and hildish face. He knew that he would never recover the sleep.
He came and leart on the sill of the balcon. From here, he could still watch over her. Ingrid's left ... was resting on her out shretched arm. Her hand floated in the empty space. He heard slaus of sabots which foretold the passing of the hackney, and wondered if he was not deluding himself. Why this hackney, so late ? The noise drew water rearer to him and he ... at the balcon in the hope of seeing the white horse when it passes. But a clump of pines hid the bend on the road to Capetown.

MERCI ENCORE !

Default Suggestion de traduction

Bonjour,

Ingrid was still sleeping in the bedroom. Rigaud sat down the leg of the bed and gazed at that smooth and childish face. He knew he would never recover his sleep. He came and leant on the balcony edge. From there, he could keep watching over her. Ingrid's left cheek was leaning back against her outstreched arm. Her hand was streaming into space. He heard the clatterings of the hooves that heralded the coming of the hackey (carriage), [... tu sembles avoir oublié un passage...], that late? The commotion was getting closer and he bent over the balcony in the hope of seeing the white horse go by. But a clump of pines was hiding the bend from sight in the road to the Cape.

Smile message pour Napoleon!

Hello, would you like the opinion of a helpful Canadian? I have a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature as well as many years of studying French.

In the room, Ingrid was still sleeping. Rigaud sat on the end of the bed and gazed at her smooth babyish face. He knew that he couldn't go back to sleep.
He went and leaned on the ledge of the balcony. From there, he could still watch over her. Ingrid's left cheek was resting on her out-stretched arm. Her hand floated in the empty space. He heard a clattering of sabots which told him the hackney was about to pass, so late? The sound came nearer and he leaned on the balcony in the hope of seeing the white horse pass by. But a clump of pines hid the bend on the road to Capetown (to the Cape?).

How different if "Canadian French" from "French French". I have been wanting to go on a trip to Montreal but am schooled only in European French.

Merci!
