As a hypermedia designer, I have a generalist approach but my interest hinges more particularly on the creation of interactive spaces, that is to say: - To conceive new usages and to integrate the product in our environment - To study new software and to program application In my point of view, technological development makes it possible to enrich our daily by providing usefulness and dream. Machines, by losing theirs cold and complex character, can after all establish emotional dialogues with the man. Within this framework : - First, I have started, with the support of my tutor Antoine Schmitt, the development of an artistic software with the aim of humanizing computer. It visually illustrates, the machine components (processor, RAM, logical drivers...) and the way in which they are required. Concretely, the user sees the development of vegetal/organic entities on the computer desktop. This sensitive "computer corporal envelope" is endowed with a artificial intelligence. In this manner, the computer is able to have a body expression and to evolve according to user actions. So, it invests the man and the machine in an instinctive dialogue: based on movement. Cf. http://my.antoine.free.fr/mediaLab - Subsequently, during the development of an instant messenger, in collaboration with the R&D team of Alcatel, I have defined two new ways for transmitting emotions to interlocutors: one via movement (the user can make vibrate the interface of correspondents) the other via colour (the user, according to his mood, can modify the colour of its interface which is transmitted in real time to correspondents). - To finish, I make a point of sharing with you the project of creating a “time machine". It’s a kind of cocoon where the user takes place and inside are mixed olfactory, soundly and visual ambiances to create a reflexive space supporting the memories come back. I think that this device could have a therapeutic interest for people how have memory troubles. So to take part in Media Lab, it’s working in multidisciplinary teams, it’s exchanging at the same time competences and ideas in order to bring about some change in media world; But it’s also, to accede to material at the leading edge of progress for carrying projects to a successful conclusion.
