where online to bid for jobs

I am a translator looking for jobs. Would you please inform where to find places that serve as portals for translators to be found. Thank you for your kind help

You can try ProZ.com (just type this into Google, and you'll get the link), but it's extremely competetive, and although basic membership is free, paying, or Platinum members, get the first crack at bidding on jobs, which you either have to pay to do or earn points (brownies, kudoz) by answering questions from other translators, or helping out. Anyway, it's a start, and it is a good source for glossaries, and free help which is very useful when you run across those very professional terms or abbreviations that only someone expert in that field would know.
