Could you help me to correct this paragraph please?

L’étude de la ville d’Orizaba nous permet de repérer les transformations de l’organisation politique du monde hispanique au cours du XVIIIe et XIXe siècles. Il nous montre tout d’abord comment la monarchie se servait de concepts politiques tels que « police » et « république », profondément marqués par le sceau de la catholicité, pour exercer son pouvoir. Ensuite, que la responsabilité du maintien de l’ordre local était largement partagée aussi bien par les corporations civiles que par les religieuses. Enfin, après la crise monarchique et l’indépendance, nous pouvons constater la présence croissante de l’État, confronté à la concentration progressive du contrôle de l’ordre public par la nouvelle municipalité constitutionnelle. Le premier se fondait sur une nouvelle conception de la « cause publique », tandis que la municipalité justifiait son pouvoir dans l’utilité publique traditionnelle.

The study of the city of Orizaba allows us to identify the transformations of the political organization of the Hispanic world during 18th and 19th centuries. First of all, it show us that the monarchy used political concepts such as "police" and "republic", profoundly marked by the seal of the Catholicism, to exercise its power. Then, that the responsibility of the local order was widely shared as well by the civil and religious corporations. Finally, after the monarchic crisis and the independence, we can notice the increasing presence of the State confronted with the progressive concentration of the control of local order by the new constitutional municipality. The first one based himself on a new conception of the " public cause ", whereas the municipality justified its power in the traditional public utility.
