:D could you help me and correct my cover letter for a job please? :D Thank you very much...

I am a French PhD student and I am looking for a postdoctoral position starting October 2004. I am very interested in the subject of oncology (espacially colon and breast cancer) and in the proteomic approach. I could observe on the web site of your compagny that oncology and proteomic are two particulary important points in your research center. That's why, I decided to apply for a post-doctoral position in Roche Society.
During the past four years, I could discover the biologic caracteristic of colonic cancer cells and the proteomic technic applied to an cancer project. Indeed, my PhD work consisted of the study of the nuclear proteome of human colonic intestinal epithelial cells during the proliferation/differentiation states and the comparison of modifications to them provided by the growth of an extracellular matrix protein –the laminin-. I obtained many mains results : creation of a nuclear proteins map in the standard condition, identification of differential proteins by comparison between the differents maps obtained in the differents conditions and finally, I focused my study on a single protein, and I tried to understand how the presence of the ECM influenced the regulation of this protein (study of localization, transduction signals, partners, posttranslational modifications such as phosphorylation,….) and what role it played in the differentiation process. My results were published in Proteomics journal, and I am preparing a second publication. These years allowed me to apprehend the complexity of the proteomic technic and to gain some expertise in it.
I'm a very motivated and independent person, and I am especially interested in a postdoctoral position in a private society in a foreign country. Such this position would allow me to enhance my scientific and technical skills, to progress in English and to discover another way of life. But it's will be so the occasion to share my own experience and my knowledge -scientific and technic- in other context.
If you are interested in my profile, I would suggest that we meet so that I may visit your center research and maybe discuss about the opportunity of this post-doctoral position.
Yours sincerly,
Please find enclosed a copy of my CV and addresses of two referees
