Jazz Café Alto

One of the city’s best venues to listen to jazz in a relaxed atmosphere is Jazz Café Alto, located in the heart of Amsterdam’s entertainment area (leidseplein).

Alto is one of the oldest and most well-known jazz cafés in Amsterdam. It offers live music for a wide audience every night, jazz but sometimes blues as well. A variety of artists, famous or not (yet), perform here. Every Wednesday night, the most famous Dutch jazz saxophonist Hans Dulfer and his band offer an out-of-this-world performance!

The bar opens from 9pm until 3am during the week and until 4am at weekends.

Einer der besten Orte der Stadt, um Jazz in einer entspannten Atmosphäre zu hören, ist das Jazz Café Alto, das sich im Herzen von Amsterdams Vergnügungsviertel (Leidseplein) befindet.

Alto ist eines der ältesten und bekanntesten Jazz Cafés in Amsterdam. Es bietet jede Nacht Live Musik für ein breites Publikum: Jazz, aber manchmal auch Blues. Eine Auswahl verschiedener Künstler, berühmt oder (noch) nicht, treten hier auf. Jeden Mittwochabend bieten der berühmte Jazz Saxophonist Hans Dulfer und seine Band eine Show, die ihresgleichen sucht.

Das Café (you meant the café – or is there an extra location with a bar?) ist geöffnet von 21:00 Uhr bis 3:00 Uhr in der Woche und bis 4:00 Uhr an Wochentagen
