Default Deutsch->Englisch - ein bisschen Hilfe bitte

Hallo,

Danke sehr fuer Ihre Hilfe.

Catachrest

Hallo Catachrest!

Die drei Wörter könnte man folgendermaßen übersetzen:

1. Steine kollerten …. hinunter:
  • hinunter kollern, hinunter rollen - tumble down; [noisily] crash down
  • herunterrutschen - slide down
2. Dunstfetzen - mist shreds

3. röcheln - breathe stertorously

Weiterhin viel Spaß beim Übersetzen!

danke sehr!

Roecheln - "breathe stertorrously" - stertorously is not a very common English word. Are you aware of any better way to put it? I know what it means in English but am having a hard time finding a good way to put it that sounds natural.

Gern geschehen! - You are welcome!

It’s quite difficult to find a perfect synonym for stertorously [in a noisy and stertorous manner; snoring harshly while breathing]

röcheln means also: ruckle and rattle, then what about:

A woman was ruckling…” (Eine Frau röchelte ..) ?

Here are some synonyms & analogous words for stertorous that I 've found in my dictionary :

loud, stentorian, ear-splitting, hoarse, raucous, strident; harsh, rough
  • The noun “stertor” means: heavy snoring sound in respiration [from the Latin verb stertere = to snore]
Hoffentlich hilft Ihnen das weiter!
