can anyone tell me what her name means in german if anything, she tells me that she is german but it doesnt sound like a german name and or word

Hi,

the name Lammel has a medium distribution in Germany - many of them lives in Berlin - about 1200 persons in Germany have this surname. Lammel or Lämmel is probably relatet to Lamm (lamb) - don't worry - it could also be a black one ...

it is indeed a german name, but it is no german word with kind of meaning.
why don't you trust her?
and i think georgie25 is right...
