I'd be so thankful if someone could help me with this. I'm in a local musical production and am required to sing part of a song in German. The original version is in English, but of course the German version is not translated word-for-word. I'd really like a translation so I can understand what I'm singing. Below I've provided the German lyrics to the song ("Heirat") and also the English lyrics, in case they will help. Thanks again to anyone who can help me!

I read the english text and i think there are a lot of differences with the german text...
