hello,

actually austrian is rather a dialect than a language, like bavarian or others in Germany. The difference is hard to tell therefore - in the news e.g. the grammar and vocabulary would be the same.

"schwul oda was?" is colloquial german/austrian - almost slang. Its means "gay or what?"

greetings, Didier

So, I am from austria. And the difference between so called austrian and german is that we use for some things other words. In Austria there many dialects, it can be even different from village to village
