Default Besoin d'aide mots, ou expressions complexes Texas, Cowboys..., ANGL-->FR

Bonjour a tous,
J'ai un texte a traduire, de l'americain vers le francais, a propos du Texas. En consequence nombres d'expressions sont assez dur a traduire, il me faudrait donc de l"aide afin de trouver les idees correspondants.

Merci d'avance : je mets en gras les mots ou j'ai du mal :

1/Located downtown, the district transformed a multi-block area of turn-of-the-century storefronts and wharehouses into shops and restaurants.

2/horse-drawn carriage rides

3/Enjoy everything from Texas souvenirs to custom made, one-of-a-kind cowboy boots.

4/...Sonny Bryan's, one of the most famous barbecue joints...

5/..presidents have rubbed shoulders over Bryan's barbecue...

6/When nightfall hits have a boot scootin' time at Cowboys Red River.

7/...enjoy some Dallas two-stepping f-u-n!

8/While in Texas, be sure to set a date for some branco-bustin' excitement at the world famous rodeo....

9/ ..these facilities will keep your heart pumping with all the cowboy.... action

10/....some Texas-tastin' steaks hot off the grill....

11/..a global tapestry of tastes

12/...after your hearty meal...

13/..the fried food capital of Texas..

14/to pay tribute to someone

15/the world largest Honky-Tonk..

Merci beaucoup!!

Hello, I hope that this can help you.
If you cannot understand something that I wrote, you can ask me - (please excuse my french! it's far from perfect, but hopefully you can get the sense of what the expressions mean. Some of them can not be translated literally.)
~ Jessica

1. "Turn-of-the-century" veut dire "le tournant du siècle". (Les années 1890 à 1910). It is used as an adjective.

2. A "horse-drawn carriage ride" is a common tourist activity in cities. C'est une promenade en calèche (tiré par les chevaux) et le chauffeur vous amène partout dans la ville pour voir les monuments et les sites historiques.

3. Tout, depuis les souvenirs de Texas (pas dans la mémoire, les petites choses comme les figurines, etc) jusqu'aux bottes de cowboy uniques et personnalisés.

4. "Joint" can mean an inexpensive restaurant. For example a "burger joint" means a hamburger restaurant. So a "barbecue joint" means "a barbecue restaurant".

5. "To rub shoulders" means to come in contact, so presidents would come in contact with each other

6. "When nightfall hits have a boot scootin' time" wow... quelle phrase intéressante! ... so "when nightfall hits" veut dire à la tombée de la nuit, and "have a boot scootin' time" veut dire "have a great time", donc peut-être, "amusez vous bien". Ils ont utilisé le mot "boot scootin'" comme si c'était un adjectif qui voulait dire "great, super etc". The Boot Scootin' Boogie is a specific dance that is from the south of the united states.

7. "Enjoy some Dallas two-stepping f-u-n!"

It means that these facilities, with their cowboy action, will make your heart beat strongly.

10. "Texas-tastin' steaks hot off the grill" ... littéralement ca veut dire "les biftecks chauds avec un goût Texan, qu'on vient d'enlever de la grille
(Tastin' = Tasting ils ommettent le g comme avant pour montrer l'accent à l'oral)

11. tapestry veut dire tapisserie, mais dans ce contexte ca veut dire un mélange ou une combinaison des goûts mondiaux.

12. hearty = copieux, abondant

13. "The fried food capital of Texas"… ici ils veulent dire "capital" comme par exemple "financial capital of the world = capitale financière du monde". So "fried food capital of Texas = capitale de la nourriture frite de Texas??? " haha je ne sais pas

14. to pay tribute to someone = rendre hommage à quelqu'un

15. "Honkey-Tonk" - je crois que c'est un type de bar (pub) ou ils jouent de la musique (probablement de la musique country). Je pense qu'ils se trouvent surtout dans le sud des usa
