Depuis quelques années, l’informatique prend une place de plus en plus importante dans la vie des entreprises. Les différents outils informatiques demandent toujours plus de ressources et les utilisateurs toujours plus de qualité de service. Pour assurer le bon fonctionnement du Système d’Information, la supervision est la solution indispensable afin de maintenir un niveau de contrat de service.

Les administrateurs systèmes disposent aujourd’hui de différents outils plus ou moins spécialisés mais aucun ne permettant une gestion globale du parc informatique, en prenant aussi bien en compte les aspects matériels, applicatifs, et systèmes.

Avant de mettre en place une solution de supervision dans son entreprise, plusieurs questions doivent être posées et notamment bien comprendre qu’est-ce que la supervision ? Pourquoi utiliser la supervision ? Quels sont ses objectifs ? Comment superviser et quoi ? Avec quels outils ?

C’est à ces questions que nous allons répondre à travers les différents chapitres de ce mémoire en commençant d’abord par une présentation de l’entreprise dans laquelle j’ai effectué cette formation. Le deuxième chapitre parlera de ce qu’est la supervision, ce que peut apporter la supervision dans un Système d’Information, les différents objectifs et enfin superviser comment et quoi ?
Nous verrons ensuite dans un troisième chapitre les divers outils existants dans le marché de la supervision et plus particulièrement une comparaison entre les outils du Monde Libre et des Editeurs. Un retour d’expérience sera exposé dans le quatrième chapitre, avec une comparaison entre l’outil de supervision Nagios du Monde Libre et MOM 2005 du côté des Editeurs.

Nous terminerons enfin par une conclusion qui parlera de l’avenir de la supervision et d’un avis personnel sur le mémoire.
