I guess it be, since the "oj" is plural suffix of Esperanto, and this language is boosting in China, even the www.china.com.cn has its Esperanto version, and I learned last year, and found it not so difficult, but I quit then because I moved to another city and my job as well, and what's more, I think I should master French first, then will be Spanish and meanwhile Esperanto.
You know, Esperanto is also a latin language, so It can hardly represent all the nations of the world, its essence is rooted in the Occidental Culture, but not the Oriental, this is the dead shortcoming of Esperanto, and I suggest the further development of Esperanto should be focused on its consideration of Orientalised as approaching its intercommunications in Asian Areas, That 's what I hope. Best Regards, Pluiepoco |

Esperanto is not a Latin language.
It's a planned universal language. It takes 2 hours to learn the whole grammar and 6 months to speak it fluently. I've been studying Latin 5 years and yet i can hardly speak it, although my language (Italian) directly comes from Latin and i can speak other 2 European languages fluently. it's true that about 70% of Esperanto words come from Latin and 10 % from Greek. But the usage of suffixes is typical (so i was told ) of Eastern Languages. Anyway there are other artificial languages and i don't think you can say there's a limit to any of them. No-one is mothertongue, no-one has an advantage on others. The only limit is that Esperanto is not taught in schools and the general feeling about it is that it has been a failure. In my humble opinion i don't think it's been a failure at all, millions of people study and speak Esperanto all over the world. Take a look at the Passporto-Servo , this is really interesting !

Please don't say that Esperanto is not a latin language, if you persist in saying so, I would concede that it's not an Occidental language. Hope my tune is not so stiff. And May I not make you angry. ![]() |
