Je rencontre un petit problème
Traduisant la lettre d'un vétéran, je me heurte à ce passage que je ne parviens pas à traduire en français correct..
Merci aux bonnes volontés I have come to the conclusion that there is one with more power than the walking, would stand by me and see me home again. |

Ca ne veut rien dire.... enfin je n'en vois pas le sens.... L'auteur de la lettre explqiue qu'après avoir passé du temps dans un trou creusé dans le sol, à entendre les obus éclater au dessus de sa tête ou exploser dans le lointain, il en arrive à la conclusion que .... Et là, je coince total... Ci-joint la phrase entière : after laying in my hole in the ground and listening to bullets go over my head bursting beside me, not more than reaching distance away, I have come to the conclusion that there is one with more power than the walking, would stand by me and see me home again. En effet, sans contexte, on ne pouvait pas deviner! Ici, "the walking" sont ceux qui marchent, les vivants. Donc, quelque chose qui a plus de puissance que les vivants qui va veiller sur lui et assurer son retour au foyer. Il parle donc de Dieu. Je n'ai pas de trad pour toi, mais ça c'est le sens.
