Hi Sinamims,
Here's what an American (and maybe an English person too) would say for your expressions to imply the same thing: Le beurre et l'argent du beurre : to have your cake and eat it too Mettre la charue avant les boeufs : to put the horse before the cart And like you said, we would say hangover for gueule de bois. |

 nice saying  if you some other, "go for them" lol (don't know if it matches with the thing I want to say, but "vas-y" in french would match with the situation ) |

In English your phrase would be 'hungover' not hangovered.
The treatment would be 'a hair of the dog (that bit you), though I am not sure of it's derivation, it means a little more of what gave you the problem in the first place. |

my fovorite expression (american english) is "weirded out!"
one says it like,"I am weirded-out!" or simple,"weired-out!" to convey that something strange has just happened...I don't know enough french to translate it though-je suis désolée |

What do you year by "I am werided-out" ?
Something weird happen to ME ? (the people who speaks) or the situation is weird, and you figured it out, so you say "I'm weirded-out" as "I find that this situation is weird !" |

it can mean both-
but usually it is used when two or more people are present to say,"ok...now THAT (occurance) was weird!"  sorry for the lack of "clearness"! |
