That's my favorite word in portuguese..
I guess that it's hard to get an equivalent for it in English..Nostalgia isn't that correct..So "saudade" is just unique and wonderful :-)

You are right. It is unique.There is also a similar word but "weak "if we compare to the Portuguese meaning is : MISSING. Another not exactly word but a bit equivalent is : HOMESICKNESS when we refer to Missing our Country.. So, saudade is strong for us, who speak Portuguese.

Yes, I know that it's used for missing someone, for example : saudades de vc!! It sounds great!!

I am from Morocco.

I guess that you are braSilian, and that you recognize the "inha" in the end of my name "Asma" lol

I like using "inha" as well, and I like all words ending with "dade":
Amizade, verdade, realidade..

Yes, lol I noticed that... The suffix INHA means ...little in the female gender.
It is nice to meet such a nice Moroccan friend like you, Asma!
I could say to you ...Merhaba, Ismee Silvana ...Ana Barazilia ...Kekek? lol I love Arabic culture and I have also learning its language as well.

I have many braSilian friends ( who insist that their country's name is spelt such as BraSil not Brazil :D)..
