That's right:
but you should also know that the order of the words might not be the same as you except, so be careful . ![]()

Right ! I have though about that, and i desperately try to distinguish between the verbs, the nouns, .. especially that they are too similar each one to other .. it's a tongue twister, so it is not easier Next one

Anyway, as we are speaking about writers who like fantasy and humour, allow me to suggest you another brilliant one, Neil Gaiman ! Comparing to Pratchett, this American who used to draw comic-books is more fond of contemporary fantasy (while T. Pratchett books are often heroic-fantasy parodies) with a really interesting mythological touch. I could suggest you “American Gods” which is his best-seller, a quite nice book if you know a bit about the gods in the different cultures around the world, but I think the best you could do is to discover both Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman in their great book “Good Omens” (“De Bons Présages”, en français). The pitch is simple: the antichrist is born, he’s on the blink to provoke Armageddon… An angel and a demon have to work together to avoid the Apocalypse, that would inevitably results in the loss of their respective jobs! Quite funny, full of nice quotes to use in the forums ![]() Errr... Sorry to disturb that thread, I won't do it again!

Pretty nice !! Some much to read !
Thank you a lot Francil for these titles and accurate recommandations, we will discover that ! I remember now another book, again dealing with this line of writing : " le théorème du perroquet " by Denis Guedj. It narrates the history of mathematics in a funny and instructive way ! And i am agree that such books give us a new alluring aspect of the science, history, economy, technology, .. Happy anyway for this discussion, where one can merge learning and fun .. don't forget tongue-twisters ! In which language would be the next one ?

Hi you all!
Curious, as you can see, I'm here with something for you: This is, I think, the most famous tongue-twister in Italy (short and simple!): Sopra la panca la capra campa sotto la panca la capra crepa. This one is also well known: Trentatré trentini entrarono a Trento tutti e trentatré trotterellando This is not well known... And this is a dialectic form from Milan: (difficult also for people not from Milan like me!) Tì che te tacchet i tacch, taccom i tacch a mì che tacchi i tacch! Mì taccat i tacch a tì che te tacchet i tacch? Taccheti tì i tò tacch! Italian translation: Tu che attacchi i tacchi, attacca i tacchi a me che attacco i tacchi! Io attaccare i tacchi a te che attacchi i tacchi? Attaccateli tu i tuoi tacchi! Have a nice Tongue-Twisting! ![]()

Tongue-Twisters can also help in learning vocabulary, like this one:
Klitzekleine Katzen kotzen klitzekleine Kotzen. Meaning: Minuscule cats puke minuscule vomits.
