But between the Slovak (or Czech) and Polish may be really weird and funny words. Ex. Slovak/Czech: - Polish: - (importance in Polish) Divka - Dziewczyna [girl] - (Dziwka - prostitute) Napad - Pomysł [idea] - (Napad - assault) Květen - Maj [May] - (Kwiecień - April) Zmrzlina - Lody [ice cream] - (Zmarzlina - permafrost) Narodne Divadlo - Teatr Narodowy [National Theatre] - (Dziwadło - oddity) Odchody - Odloty [departures] - (Odchody - excrement)
