Merhaba= bonjour/hello Güle güle= bye/ au revoir Görüşürüz= see you/au revoir kaç yaşındasın? = how old are you/ quel âge as-tu? ..... yaşındayım = I am .... old/ j'ai .... ans ben bir kızım = I am a girl/ je suis une fille ben bir erkeğim= I am a man/ je suis un garçon-homme Nasılsın? = Comment vas-tu?/ How are you? (informal) Nasılsınız? = Comment allez-vous? / How are you (formal) Teşekkürler = Merci/Thank you Sağol = thank you/ merci Başın sağolsun = my condoleances/ mes condoléances (when somebody dies/ quand quelqu'un est décédé) Iyiki doğdun= happy birthday/ joyeux anniversaire Allah analı babalı büyütsün= when somebody has children, you tell her-him this phrase whioch means 'God protect them and they grow with both their parents/ quand quelqu'un vient d'avoir des enfants, on dit cette phrase qui signifie 'que Dieu les protège et qu'ils grandissent avec leurs 2 parents' Allah korusun= God protect us for this thing/ que Dieu nous protège de cette chose-là Hayırlı olsun! = Congratulation/ félicitations! Ben iyiyim, sen nasılsınız? = I am fine, and you, how are you?/ Moi je vais bien et toi comment vas-tu?
