Hello
a difficult question ... most of the languages you give us are not important for me, personally, but elsewhere certainly ... You should perhaps tell us a little more why you chose these languages I think. 1. German - my language 2. French - ma langue favorisée ![]() 3. Italian - I simply love to hear it (and see how they talk, too ![]() 4. Spanish - because I have started to learn it and it seems to be important for a lot of people 5. English - of course!! 6. Russian - because my favorite "bookwriter" was a Russian but besides nostrowje I don't understand a lot For the rest I don't know - I miss turkish, very important for many people in my country and netherlands too. good luck! Hi Daniela,
Thanks a lot for your reply. Yes I admit that for everybody those 11 languages are not the 11 most important... What are the other important languages for you? And why? |

Daniela is absolutely right: Turkish is a very important language indeed! :D
It is spoken not only in Turkey, but also by the millions of Turkish who live outside Turkey like me, and also by Northern Cypriots, Kurdish people, and also many people in Central Asia. Furthermore, Turkish is the root language of all the Turkic languages that are spoken in Azerbaidjan, Turkestan (south west of China), Turkmenistan, etc. Also, there is a growing number of Turkish schools where Turkish is taught as a second language in Central Asia, Africa, Eastern Asia, etc. So, not to neglected! ![]()

Hi!
Well first of all thank you all for replying. Well in fact I have chosen those 11 languages because either those countries are populated (like India), rich (like Italian), or in development (like brasil, for portuguese). The other languages I think are the most common languages on earth. But yes, if you want to add languages like turkish to your ranking, please do so. Other people have added languages such as thai, malay, bengali, east european languages etc... But most of those who have replied have chosen the 11 languages I have suggested. I will be posting the result soon. I have collected nearly 40 rankings but I would like to have at least 50. Thank your |
