Hi, I am Japanese living in Tokyo. Where are you from?

I live in Tokyo for 30 years, and I think a life in Tokyo is really good.
Japan is a safe place and there are many nice restaurants and
drinking places in Tokyo area.

People use trains as main transportation in Tokyo,
so there are many shops around stations.

But I don' like the rush-hour commuter trains.
They are disgusting because too many people are loaded.

Japanese anime are good also... I actually like the traditions and traditionnal cloths more than the new life, but in the other hand I like the high-tech in there, Japan is where these things see light for the first time, video games and and and..I like Japanese language, I like many things

I live in France. I'm 31. Tokyo seems to be cool. I live in countryside near Cognac (do you Cognac, the drink?), near Bordeaux, on the west side country, near the ocean.
Do the japanese traditions are always important in the current life?

Hi, Voyageur.
We are not so much concious about Japanese tradition in our daily life, I think, but traditional things are seen in congratulatory or condolence occasion such as wedding, funeral, New Year's day, wedding and so on.

When people get married, there are many conventions and rules which are different in the regions. I heard that people living in the supecific area have wedding parade from bride's familiy home to their new house, with strewing sweets for the people. (Though I've never seen it...) Conventions exists strongly in the country areas, but in urban area, there are less conventions.

I've never been to France but I want to go there. I eager to see Mont Saint-Michel !! Cognac sounds really nice, I also want to visit south part of France, too. How is the life in France?

If you have anything to ask about Japan, ask me !

Well, I think we have to distinguish the life in Paris (maybe also in the biggest town) and in the rest of the country.
In Paris, the accomodations are pretty expensive, you must have a really good job to live in. In Paris, many stars live in, there are many museums, theaters, cinemas, "café-concerts", work offices and tourists. This is the capital city.
Many people says that Parisians are distant.

In the other parts of France, accomodations increase also, but not as much.
Nowdays, many comodities increase. Since few years, some Britanics come in France and buy house, even old house, so that the real estate increase. In my village and in the neighbour ones, the young married couples make house builded. So there are old old houses, and news. Before, in country side house, lived husband, wife, children, grand parents. their works were "earth works". Now, it depends. Peasants became farmers, and now farmers even become (in my region) Cognac makers, possess vine.

All regions in France possess culinary specialities. Many french like football, for some of them, it's quasi a religion. French are often discontent with the goverment. With every president, they often look the bad side and not the good one. .....................I have to quit...
