Just to let you know that I have never heard a non native french speak or write as a french native does... Maybe it does not mean french is difficult but I keep on thinking like that... especially when it comes to articles use or sound-like words (just as "résident" and "résidant" I recently pointed in the french forum). I have to say that spoken and written french are very different though, I have never seen such a difference in the two other languages I can reasonnably speak.
