Salaaaaam all...
Here I am talking about my beloved country.. I am patient when people ask : "And in which part of the world is Morocco??".. Much to say, but let me be a bit brief, and all questions are welcome :-) (By the way, are there any moroccans around??) Morocco is a muslim country in North Africa! When I say muslim, it's because muslims present 98.7% of the population, with 1.1% christian and 0.2 Jewish..I personnaly haven't ever met any christian or jewish here!! We speak berber in many parts of the kingdom, besides Arabic which is the official language. French is often used for business and in the administrative formalities. That's one of the strongest influences that remind after our independence in 1956. |

Hi Ashmina
![]() Well I am not Morroccan but my father was born in Guinea... and has lived then for 15 years in Rabat and Casablanca, Morocco. So this country is not a total foreign country to me .Though I am sorry I don't speak a word of Arabic nor berber... just french ![]() Have just a question : where do you live in Morocco? |

I hesitated whether I should write in French or in English here..So, I just picked up English :-)
I was loking in your profile and saw that you were replying to my thread, but didn't get any notification for it Anyway, back to the topic... I live in Agadir, it's in the south, did you hear about it? Most people know Casablanca, and think that it's the capital. It the economic center of Morocco, and the capital in Rabat... Just like Ankara and Istanbul for Turkey :-) Well, French people don't need to be told about Morocco, just as Moroccan people know much about France :-) |

Ah...Then I might be wrong, huh?? I can take it...
I made it a general rule, because I never needed to tell French friends about Morocco!! Aha, you have been here..Tell us about it then..It'll be great to know how you saw the place over here.. Did you go to the qassbah?? Camels?? The beach? What did you like the most? |

Well I guess that what I loved the most was the beach because I just love sailing and the sea and such things.
When we have been there we were the "whole" family together, that is grand parents, their 4 children and wives/husbond and the 7 grand sons (I am one of those last). So it was pretty hard to visit things managing 17 people with such a wide age range... So I hardly remember about the qassbah we have been to. Don't think we have been to the camels though...But I keep an excellent souvenir of this town ![]() |
