I love to see other countries traditional costume too. I am very involved in other countries custom's too. I am with an organization here that welcomes all Latin countries like Argentina, Brazil, Spain and so on. I am so glad you shared that video of traditonal Russian attire, it is so cool, and those girls/ladies are absolutely beautiful! Cinema,

By the way, as well as you I like to learn something about different nations' national features, traditional cultures, music, and so on. But I have to correct you at some points. This was Chuvash clip, Chuvash traditional song performed in the Chuvash language, Chuvash women in the clip etc. But not Russian (as ethnic group). I know it must be difficult for you to comprehend this. All because of the fact that you are a foreigner. But I think that even nobody in Russia can always obviously distinguish a Chuvash person from a Russian one (by appearance). You are right, the costumes have some important similarities with that we nowadays recognize as the Russian traditional costume. As for the traditions, they are substantially similar to Russian ones. Both nations are mainly Orthodox Christians. And so on. There are also some significant distinctions between Russians and Chuvashs. The main difference consists in languages. The Chuvash language belongs to another language family than Russian does. Last edited by D-man; 04-28-2008 at 05:25 PM. |

Great! I like flamenco music. I have heard not many of its artists, but I find this music very beautiful. Recently, I used to listen to Jesse Cook. Maybe he performs not the music that is really traditional flamenco (I am just a dilettante in it), but I like most of his tracks.
