Default Which one and Why?

Hello everyone!

If you had the choice to learn a new language what would be the one you pick? And Why?

Regards!

Sflor..hi
after I learned English..the second language I thought of was French which i'm trying to learn now..because for me it's number 2 after English..and I'm thinking of taking a diploma in French when I have a good background of it to add to my qualifications..that's why I'm learning it.

Thank You Sflor to ask this question really interresting !!

So...

I'm learning English because i think it will be really useful in few years to communicate.
At school, i learnt Spanish but i forgot a lot of things... but it's near French so, it could be fun to learn it again...

I began to learn Chinese few days ago, just for fun, to talk a little bit with a Chinese friend I met at Chambery It's really difficult but some websites are useful and thanks to Demoore to talk about Chine-nouvelle

Nani tried to teached me Arabic, but between these 2 languages, which is the most difficult ?? Hard to say because both of them are difficult

See you around

I'm currently learning German, and picking up some words and grammar in Russian, but I now I will need some good years to master those languages...

But the language that draws my attention the most, is Chinese (Mandarin). I know some day (maybe 10 years from now!!!) I will be able to speak a little of this fascinating language. I do feel attracted by Chinese culture and history, and since I don't have the chance to visit that country, knowing the language can bring me an idea of China... Unfortunatelly, I'm not Ziad Youssef Fazah to be able to speak 58 languages!!!!

And what about you sflor? You asked the questions and you didn't give your choices...
