Dose any one like Americans? I am sorry if this sounds wrong but I try to find friends from another contery (Asia and Europe was in mind with Japan and Italy and India being on the tope of my list) but I felt unwelcome ware ever I went. I have bin really trying hard to find a place ware I could go with out being hated but I am begging to lose hope, So I guss what I am trying to ask is there any one who dose not hate us (and if I dare ask) like us?

I am sure that anyone here will hate you at all and you will meet and know nice friends from everywhere.

So, please don’t feel an outsider or a “loner” and don’t give up… I guess you found your hope coming into here!

I'm new here, so I am not the right person to talk about the forum's intentions or about what's used to be thaught in here, but let me tell you my thaughts :

If people try to understand foreign languages, it means that they are interested in understanding foreign people... there's no space left for hate here, I guess.

So be welcome, be a citizen of the world, and let 'hate' for other forums.

May be politics should be bannished out of here... they sometimes are the opposite to languages.

There is a nice thread here arround, searching words in all known languages for 'unité' (if I do remember well).

ok...there are bad stereotypes about Americans, but just as many as there are about French people

you shouldn't be worried about them, because you can very quickly make people change their minds if you just act naturally

there are also good stereotypes about any country. once a person has given you the usual "how come you have bush as a president" speech, they find it really cool to have an american as a friend

personally, i have had the chance to befriend two americans when i lived in germany, and got very attached to them, and i am still in touch with them, and i find them really great.

Hi there, just to keep going in Nallatu's way (I am french too), let me tell you that I came and work a couple time in the States, so no use to say I like it, else I would not have been there

People just have to come over what they have in mind (which mostly comes from nems papers, TV or such I guess) and see what the reality is. And by the way, politics and people are so different.

I'm Danutza and i'm from Roumania. I don't speak very well english but i want to tell you one thing: i like all the people, no matters from were are they. I like to have friends from all over the world and if you want i'm your friend.

I don't like the American government, I don't like the presumptuousness, I don't like the nationalism, I don't like the average American, but there are always exceptions. The authority is way outlying of his border. It might be over-simplified, but in my opinion it's well thought-out. I'm just trying to say that I don't like the American style, but I do know that not every American is the same and votes for Bush.
