They are a rare "race", they have experienced thousands of years and they are adapted quite well to the harsh climate, in fact, on the plateau of Tibet, the landform is rather flat.

Yes I know that the plateau of tibet is the largest plateau in the world, but it's the highest as well.

Nana, I don't need to remind you that I am Berber, do I?
![]() Again, I didn't see your question earlier. Actually, while you say the south, that includes many kind of "cultures". People in the desert get dressed in a different way than Berbers in most villages. In my native village, I remember that women used to dress in white, and cover their faces like the Berber woman in tha picture. They only show ONE EYE!! Nowadays, even granny don't do that anymore. Talking about curretn generations, you wouldn't tell who's Moroccan in an European crowd if you observe the way they are dressed. What I like in my country, is that attachement that we still have to our beautiful traditionnal cloths. When there is a wedding party, or any other happy occasion, you can see all women wearing their colorful long dresses called " taksheeta" or "Qaftan". Also, in our daily life, many of us still wear their djellabas. I hope that I can find some nice pictures soon to illustrate what I just said :-) |

Yes.. Asma I remember you told us once about you being a Berber. That was a nice explanation, thanks. Wowww about women showing on eye lol lol lol how uncomfortable ah? I am happy they stopped with that, even your grannie (smart old woman!!! heheh). She must have been one of the pioneers who said : NO MORE ONE EYE!! I WANT BOTH OF THEM!!! llol..
The clothes are fantastic and what you said about Moroccans among European could mix my observation I hope your people as well other Middle East people, Turks, Chinese, Japanese,Hindis, Indians etc.. maintain their cultures and way of being because that whole thing makes our planet being so colorful, beautiful, interesting and exotic. |
