Casablanca!

These are some pictures of Casablanca,
a short description of it would be: a city of northwest Morocco on the Atlantic Ocean south-southwest of Tangier. Founded by the Portuguese in the 16th century, it became a center of French influence in Africa after 1907. It is now Morocco's largest city.
Casablanca or in Arabic Dar-al-Baida, on the Atlantic Ocean. The largest city and principal port of Morocco, it accounts for more than half of Morocco's industrial production. Casablanca is the seat of numerous Arab and French schools, an art school, the Goethe-Institut, and the Hassan II mosque (1993), one of the world's largest.
Casablanca is on the site of Anfa, a prosperous town that the Portuguese destroyed in 1468; they resettled it briefly in 1515 under its present name. Almost destroyed by an earthquake in 1755, Casablanca was rebuilt (1757) by Muhammad XVI. It was occupied by the French in 1907. During World War II, Casablanca was the scene of one of the three major Allied landings in North Africa (Nov., 1942) and of a conference between Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Winston Churchill (Nov., 1943).

It`s amazing Casablanca suffered many damages thru the years and still keep its beauty!
XPSAL and ASMINHA you two live in such a beautiful country and never showed it to us before !!!!!!?????!!

I have been doing this work about my country, spreading its culture, costumes and showing places to you all, to let you all know there are beautiful and nice places besides Rio de Janeiro. I think you 2 (Xpsal and Asma) should do the same about Morocco, as Nani about Jordan and as all friends here about the beautiful and exotic Middle East which I LOVEEEEEEEEEE SO MUCH !!! AND ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL friends from every part of this planet ,too! The more we know and see the more we want to learn

Hey Xpsal, what about showing us more streets and those marvelous markets and stores in Casablanca?
I just love seeing those Markets and stores where you can buy different things from any Middle East countries.

Hey Nana, I have opened a thread about Morocco before, and I invited some friend here to post some nice pictures they have taken when they were here in Morocco; and dada did!!

You might be right that we didn't do it as good as you did for Brazil; but here comes Salim doing in for us :D
