Here are some more. Not REALLY interesting, but still fun to read I guess.

1. Fire spreads faster uphill than downhill.
2. Hiccup goes away if you keep your hands in really cold water or if you prick your ear lobe with the finger nail.
3. In Los Angeles there are less people than cars.
4. The only food that doesn’t deteriorate is honey.
5. Thomas Edison (the inventor of the light bulb) was afraid of the dark!
6. Let's flip a coin and try to guess whether it will come up heads or tails. Three times as many people guess 'heads' than 'tails'.

For 2nd one I know the reason, your minds gets diverted and so the hiccups stop. Even if you scare a person while he/she is haveing hiccups, it'll stop.

@Gaku - Yes, devanagari script is easy to learn, you are supposed to have the will for that.

We have this saying in my country that if you get lot of tears while cutting onion the you'll have a good and loving mother-in-law.

Spacewar

The first Sci-fi video game was Spacewar!, it was created in 1961 by a group of students at MIT. The game pitted two human players against each other, each controlling a space ship capable of firing missiles.
