Hi,
I am new at these forums, and I come here to ask for help with a translation I have in hands... Let me say that I already have a list of translations (see below), but I would still need some more! Ok, the word I need to have translated is *encounters*. To be more precise, this is a translation (mine) of the word "encontros", that is portuguese. The word must have the following idea associated: *encounters of people*. You can also think, if also applicable, as *encouters of people, cultures, races, etc.* (in a more philosophical sense). ![]() Important: These are all to be printed and therefore to be read, so I must be able to have them in their original script (character set).. If you can help me with this, it would be a great help. I am currently having problems with the chinese, japanese, and arabic translations below (don't know which fonts to use, or where to find them!!). Also, please do not paste from dictionaries like babylon, post only if you are 100% sure... thank you Here's a list with my current translations (some made by me, others kindly provided by users at experts-exchange): * encontros (portuguese)Thank you very much in advance for your help! cheers ac7 ps1: This ougth to be in arabic characters, right? ps2: I don't have fonts for this... Can you help me out? Last edited by acseven; 11-27-2004 at 12:32 AM. Reason: mistype |

* Tajriba (arabic) (please read ps1)* .. do u mean that this is the translation of the word encounter !! i think this is not it , the word encounter in Arabic means ( Muajaha ) and not ( Tajriba ) and in the Arabic script it is written like this , you can copy and paste it :
مواجهة. hope this might help |

hi,
I was planning on writting all word in small caps, so that's why I used 'die' , so that it wouldn't be confused with the verb 'to encounter'... (I know that in german is necessary to start a noun with a capital letter) Thanks for the heads up, I'll try to make up my mind about which I will use ![]() |

salut,
en russe tu n'es pas obligé(e) mettre les deux mots : "встреча людей" Le premier mot suffit. A plus.
