Default Web Tutor - Learn Chinese from a Chinese in China!

A girl in Shanghai, China, is offering private help on Chinese (Mandarin). The lessons will be given remotely (i.e., via audio/video talk using messengers like MSN, YAHOO, SKYPE, etc.). She speaks English as a second language, but fluently enough for teaching. Only $4/hour with 1 minute rounding, that is, you will pay only for the actual minutes the lesson has used. No pre-paid tuition. No contract. Ten minutes free lesson for everyone. You decide the time (either nights or weekend days/nights will be fine). For details, please contact Thanks and regards.

Default chinese for absolute beginners - have a taste before you begin formally!

starting chinese might sound intimidating because it's said to be such a difficult language...

if you're interested in beginning chinese, before investing in a more formal program, have a taste of chinese for free at

many websites are only in english, but this one has had its program translated in 21 languages (more coming soon!)

it uses a cool interface with graphics and games to teach basic words and phrases in a relaxed manner. for you serious ones, there are also resources such as pinyin (pronunciation) tables. get to know how to write, read, speak and listen.
