i repeat: pluiepoco never entered any data on my site. maybe he translated it and kept it on his home computer and intended to enter it. i don't know. it HAS happened in the past that one of my partners did the welcome page and nothing else, and then she quit (by sending me a resignation email) so i had to replace her (this was the case with the Italian module). but this is NOT the case with the mandarin module. pluiepoco never did anything. he knows nothing about our project. he never tried to contact me by posting, by PM, by email, or any other form of communication. after my PM to him, the outburst here was the first time i heard from him. it's surreal.



yes, our site is currently hosted by powweb, but why i should i tell the world about that? it is not a secret but neither is it something i should advertise.

in any case, i have no way of knowing the answer to your question. maybe pluiepoco is lying about that too, and he totally forgot about our site without trying to access it. or maybe the PRC fiddled with their filters. i have no idea. personally, i wish the china govt would change. this censorship is very wrong and troublesome, even without people like pluiepoco to deal with. actually, forgive me for saying so, but pluiepoco sounds just like a typical official from the communist government, very arrogant and inconsiderate - sorry if that's offensive but that's my honest impression, given the way pluiepoco has acted towards me and my project.

if you think about it, pluiepoco's claim makes no sense. why would i ignore him if he did work on the mandarin module? i am DESPERATE to add more languages. my post which started this thread proves that. i am dying to add korean, hungarian, etc. i was even more desperate two months ago. so if pluiepoco really already translated the welcome page, why would i ignore him? why would i try to look for another partner? of course i would send him daily emails and PM asking him to start work on the vocabulary, to do the system phrases, etc. etc. etc. pluiepoco is the one who ignored my project, not the other way round. he never did anything, never even logged in, so i continued looking for a partner for mandarin.

luckily i found one in singapore. he and i are working very closely on developing a system to display chinese tones correctly. we already finished implementing a function to toggle hanyu pinyin and chinese characters. it is crazy, given the many many hours my chinese partner and i are spending on the module, to accuse me of using machine-translated words. the quality of my project, especially the chinese module, is very very high.

this controversy has gone on long enough. thank you both chinois and pluiepoco for your interest in my project. i am sorry it didn't work out but let's not argue anymore about whether it was your fault, my fault, or the PRC fault. it makes no difference at this juncture. i was very eager to work with both of you, as is obvious from my PM to pluiepoco and my post to chinois in the original thread -- but it was not to be.

given what transpired in this thread, i doubt i will be able to find any more partners in this forum. that's OK; my project is almost complete. in any case, this is my last post here. if you want to continue libelling or criticizing me, go ahead. if not, more power to you!

thanks to the admins and owner of this forum. i found two partners here and became good friends with them. i have a link up towards this site and it will stay up.
