Hello, (pour lire ce message en français, voir ci bas)
Could some one kindly help me? I must write "Street Party" on a poster. I have already found "празник на съседите" on the net, but that means "neighbourhood party", so, its not really what I need. I need the "STREET" to be well in evidence. Even if your bulgarian is not perfect, don't worry, The most important thing is that the Bulgarian people in the street understand the message. Thank you in advance, Marie (now the same request in French) Bonjour, Est ce que quelque un pourrait m'aider. Marbetu |

Well, it's kind of different of what you want to say.But I think, that you want to say this Улично парти, or Парти на улицата.
If you want to be more exactly said, just write here what it's all about this party, and I'll try to give you some better answer. ![]()

Hi thank you very much for your reply.
I am happy to explain now what it's about to help you get the right translation .... Every year in our street (a busy city street) a group of residents organise a street party where the police block off the road to traffic for the whole day (so there are no cars in the street at all .. either parked or passing), and the residents can have barbecues and eat in the street. The children can play football, cycling, painting, sand castles etc and the adults can talk to eachother and meet their neighbours. We organise games and activities for the adults and children. We all eat together and taste each others food from different countries. The poster is to encourage a maximum number of residents to take part. We want it to be in all the languages that are spoken by the people in the street (it is a very mixed area) so that everybody feels welcome ..... So, in short, it is a party that will take place in the street ... "Street party" in English and "Fete de la Rue" in french. Looking forward to your reply and thanks in advance ![]() |

Well Парти на улицата is more like a party ON the street.
so Улично парти is more closer(I think like that) of what you want to say. Interesting, about this party.Where is it?I mean in which town exactly? ![]()

thank you very much indeed.
the town is brussels. For your information, there is also a movement that promotes such events in europe here are the sites: European Neighbours' Day (bulgarian site)European Neighbours' Day (english language home page) Our party does not take place on the "european neighbours day" because it is during the week, and we like to do it on a weekend, but many streets choose that day to do it. This year was tuesday 27th may. Good bye and thanks again ![]() |
