Wow! I had no idea we had a MOVIE SECTION on this forum?

Perfect since I am CINEMA!

I guess I can make mine more of a historical movie comment section.

I have always liked film and I can talk about silent film too. Here are a few links to get started if you like.

Yes my Dear, I know of Pola! I will tell you a short story of when I was a teenager and first went to visit my big sister in Los Angeles years ago. One day we were walking to ride bus to Hollywood & Chinatown and we walked past a very large old mansion. I asked her who could have live there it must have been a hundred years ago. She said Pola Negri! and I being so young hand never heard of her. She told me she was once one of the most beautiful and famous stars of the silent film era! How cool!

Here is what I placed on another forum!

Once I turned it on I couldn't turn it off.

I found almost every single person Regis spoke to on the red carpet to be very down to earth and sincere in their short Oscar banter. Not one dragged on or came of as obnoxious or pompous. Clooney seems like a regular guy and thats why he is so well liked. I could not help but notice that there were no outrageous ridiculous outfits or hairdoes/ribbons to distract from the event and the acceptance Thank You's were for the most part simple and to the point. Basically everyone seemed to behave in an adult way.

I always love the (montage film clips) of people in the film industry that have recently passed away. Very cool. I was stunned to see Mickey Rooney & Faye Dunaway enter! Whoah!

Most of all I am so glad the show went on! No stupid strike could stop this annual event! With so much glum in the world these days we need something exciting and fun.

Like one of the recipients stated...You can't say it's not a thrill being up here accepting this! Right on!

Your so silly, of course not. I will leave at a mystery for now.

My favorite part of the awards is when they give for Best Special Effects, cinematography, Foreign Film and short animated film.
